How to use: Targeted Blemish Serum | 15 ml
An SOS gesture for the odd blemish: you apply it only where it's needed and leave the rest of your face alone. With 2% salicylic acid and 3% Tea Tree, it helps unclog the pore and leaves the area looking cleaner, more matte and less marked.
Who it’s for
- You have an occasional blemish and don't want to change your whole routine
- You have blemish-prone skin
- You notice patches that look congested
- You have an oily T-zone and want a targeted matte effect
When to use it
Morning and/or night, 1 to 2 times a day, as needed. It goes after cleansing, on dry skin, and before moisturiser and daytime sunscreen.
How to apply it, step by step
- Cleanse your face and pat it fully dry: the serum always goes on clean, dry skin.
- Wash your hands. If you prefer, use a clean cotton bud so you don't contaminate the product.
- Take a tiny amount of serum on a clean fingertip or the cotton bud: just enough to cover the blemish.
- Dab it directly onto the blemish, gently, without rubbing and without spreading it around.
- Let it dry for a moment. At night, if you like, cover with a hydrocolloid pimple patch to seal the product in.
- Follow with moisturiser where your skin needs it and, in the daytime, always finish with sunscreen.
Get the most out of it
- Don't squeeze the spot: squeezing pushes the contents deeper and can leave marks that last for months. Apply the serum and resist.
- At night, a hydrocolloid pimple patch over the serum seals it in and absorbs excess fluid while you sleep.
- If your skin feels tight or dry, space out the applications. If your skin is reactive, patch test on your inner forearm first.
Avoid
- Spreading the serum over your whole face: it's targeted care and isn't designed for that.
- Using it on the same spot and at the same time as retinol: it can irritate. Alternate nights or use this one locally only.
- Applying it near the eye area or skipping daytime sunscreen: potent actives plus sun can lead to dark spots.
Pairs well with
- Clarifying Facial Cleansing Gel | Purifying & Matte | 200 ml — Cleanses and mattifies oily skin, the right first step before the serum goes on clean, dry skin.
- Hydrating Gel with Niacinamide | 50 ml — Non-comedogenic hydration for the rest of your face while the serum works only on the blemish.
- Tinted Mineral Face Sunscreen SPF 50 | 20 ml — With potent actives, sunscreen in the morning is essential to help avoid dark spots.
FAQs
How long until I see a difference?
The matte effect and the feeling of cleaner skin are there straight away. The rest varies from person to person and with the type of blemish, so we don't give timelines. A cosmetic works on the look of the skin.
Can I use it every day?
Yes, as a targeted application and only where there are blemishes. If your skin feels tight or irritated, space out the applications.
Is it right for persistent acne?
No. It's for the occasional blemish. If your acne is persistent, inflammatory or affects your daily life, see a dermatologist: this is a cosmetic, not a medicine.
