Description

Description

The Niacinamide Hydrating Gel by Unnamed Cosmetics is a lightweight moisturiser in a concentrated gel format with 5% Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), one of the most multi-functional ingredients in modern skincare. It tackles oiliness, enlarged pores, dark spots and uneven tone all at once, and strengthens the skin barrier.

5% niacinamide is the benchmark concentration: it balances efficacy and tolerance, without the irritation risk linked to higher concentrations. Combined with ginkgo biloba extract and marine algin, it delivers light, refreshing hydration that absorbs quickly with no greasy residue.

Suitable for: oily and combination skin, enlarged pores, dark spots, uneven tone, and anyone looking for weightless hydration.

Beauty without labels. Science-backed multi-tasking, the clean way.

Who It's Not For

Who It's Not For

We'd rather tell you this than sell you the wrong product.

This formula contains alcohol (naturally derived ethanol, permitted under Ecocert COSMOS certification) as a solubiliser: it's what gives the instantly absorbed gel texture and the shine-free finish. It also contains fragrance, at a low concentration.

On tolerant oily or combination skin, neither is a problem; in fact, the alcohol is part of what makes the texture right for this skin type.

If you have reactive skin, rosacea, a compromised barrier or you react to fragrance, this isn't the right product from our range: the Sensitive Skin Moisturising Cream is, formulated without fragrance and without alcohol.

For oily skin that wants to avoid alcohol, the alternative is the Oil-Free Hydrating Gel.

Key Ingredients

Key Ingredients
  • Niacinamide 5% (Vitamin B3): the most multi-functional ingredient in modern skincare. Helps regulate surface sebum, refine the look of pores, even out tone and strengthen the barrier, and contributes to ceramide synthesis. 5% is the benchmark concentration.
  • Organic Ginkgo Biloba Extract: an antioxidant that improves skin microcirculation and protects against free radicals.
  • Algin (Seaweed): a marine polysaccharide that creates the refreshing gel texture and boosts hydration.
  • Cellulose Gum: a plant-based thickener that gives the silky gel effect.
  • Vegetable Glycerin: an essential humectant that draws in and holds water in the skin.

Tips from Your Expert Friend

Tips from Your Expert Friend

"If I could pick only one ingredient for the rest of my life, it would be niacinamide. It tackles oiliness, pores, dark spots, redness and a weakened barrier, all in one active. It's the multivitamin of skincare."

"The myth that niacinamide 'deactivates' vitamin C has been debunked. You can use both in the same routine: vitamin C first, as it's more acidic."

FAQ

FAQ
Is 5% the ideal concentration?

Yes. 5% is the benchmark concentration, the sweet spot between efficacy and tolerance. Above 10% there are reports of flushing and tingling with no proportional benefit.

Is it suitable for oily skin?

Yes, it's the skin type it was designed for. Niacinamide regulates the sebum that reaches the surface and refines pores, and the gel texture hydrates without adding oil.

What if my skin is sensitive?

Niacinamide itself is very well tolerated. But this formula contains alcohol and fragrance, and on reactive skin, rosacea or a compromised barrier those two can cause discomfort regardless of the active. In that case, the Sensitive Skin Moisturising Cream is the right choice: no fragrance, no alcohol.

Can I combine it with vitamin C or retinol?

Yes, with both. Niacinamide has no documented incompatibilities: it's one of the easiest actives to fit into any routine.

How soon will I see results?

It depends on your skin and on using the gel regularly. We don't promise timeframes: we show you what each ingredient does and let you be the judge. If you don't notice a difference after a few weeks, get in touch.

Can it be used during pregnancy?

Niacinamide is considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and is often recommended for pregnancy-related melasma. As with any product during pregnancy, check with your doctor.
