The anti-ageing eye serum solves the central problem of the periocular zone: it needs cell renewal and collagen stimulation — exactly what retinol does — but skin 0.5mm thick and the proximity of the conjunctival mucosa mean retinol is frequently poorly tolerated here. Flaking, redness and stinging are common. Bakuchiol offers the same mechanism without this risk.

Why the Periocular Zone Needs Its Own Serum

Periocular skin has characteristics that distinguish it from the rest of the face:

  • 4x thinner skin (0.5mm) — less barrier, greater active absorption, greater irritation risk
  • No sebaceous glands — without the natural lipid protection sebum provides
  • Constant movement exposure — between 10,000 and 15,000 daily blinks create repetitive folds
  • Proximity to conjunctival mucosa — fragrances, alcohol and actives at low pH irritate the conjunctiva

The Serum's Three Actives: What They Do

Bakuchiol (Retinol Alternative)

Activates the same collagen receptors as retinol without retinisation. In clinical studies, equivalent efficacy on periocular fine lines without the side effects. For the periocular zone, it's the only correct choice within the retinol family.

Stabilised Vitamin C

Antioxidant + collagen stimulator + depigmenting for pigmented dark circles. At a concentration safe for the periocular zone (2–3% stabilised form) — without the acidic pH that would irritate the mucosa.

Anti-Ageing Eye Serum at night + Brightening Cream in the morning. The complete protocol for expression lines + pigmented dark circles in the most delicate zone of the face.

How to Apply

Apply with the ring finger (the hand's gentlest pressure) with small tapping motions from the inner corner outward. Don't drag — repeated stretching of periocular skin contributes to fold formation. Amount: a small drop for both eyes.

Add the Soothing Eye Cream on top of the evening serum — seals in hydration and adds the occlusive layer dry periocular skin needs.
