Watch how to apply it
Who it’s for
- Skin with dark spots or hyperpigmentation
- Anyone with post-acne marks or melasma
- Uneven, tired or dull-looking skin
- Mature, dehydrated skin, from age 18
When to use it
Morning and/or night, on clean, dry skin, after cleansing and serums and before sunscreen. In the morning, SPF 30+ on top is mandatory.
How to apply it, step by step
- Cleanse your face and dry your skin well.
- If you use a serum, apply it first (in the morning, the Energising Vitamin C Serum).
- Take a small amount of cream and spread it over the areas with dark spots.
- Massage with upward movements until fully absorbed.
- Smooth any remaining cream over your face if you want to care for overall tone.
- In the morning, finish with SPF 30+ sunscreen and reapply it through the day.
Get the most out of it
- If your skin is sensitive, start on alternate days for the first week and patch test on your forearm first.
- Don't get hung up on timelines: the pace depends on the type of spot, your phototype and sun protection. Consistency matters more than potency.
- Make daily SPF a fixed habit; it protects the work the cream is doing.
Avoid
- Leaving the house in the morning without sunscreen: kojic acid increases UV sensitivity.
- Applying it to damp or uncleansed skin.
- Using vitamin C and retinol at the same time instead of separating them between morning and night.
Pairs well with
- Tinted Mineral Face Sunscreen SPF 50 | 20 ml — Daily SPF protects the cream's work: in the morning it's the final step and non-negotiable.
- Energising Vitamin C Serum | 30 ml — Vitamin C in the morning, before the cream, complements kojic acid for radiance.
- Retinol Alternative Serum | 30 ml — At night it supports cell renewal and keeps separate from your morning vitamin C.
FAQs
How soon will I see results?
Evening out tone is gradual and we don't promise timelines. It depends on the type of spot, your phototype and sun protection. Apply daily and never skip SPF.
Can I use it with retinol or vitamin C?
Yes, at different times. Vitamin C and kojic acid in the morning, retinol at night.
Can it cause irritation? What about pregnancy?
Kojic acid is one of the best-tolerated depigmenting agents, but the formula contains essential oils and fragrance allergens (such as limonene, linalool and citral). On sensitive skin, start on alternate days and patch test on your forearm. During pregnancy, check with your healthcare professional first.
