Editorial Team
All #FicaaDica articles are written and reviewed by the Unnamed Cosmetics Editorial Team. This page explains how we do it — and what you can and cannot expect from our content.
How We Write
Each article starts with a real question: a query we received, a circulating myth, or a decision skincare users have to make. We don't write to sell a product — we write to answer the question with the utmost rigor we can, and only then do we indicate, when it makes sense, which of our products applies.
Our Evidence Criteria
When we state that an ingredient works, we rely on a clear hierarchy:
- Randomized controlled clinical trials in humans — the gold standard
- Controlled clinical studies — robust, yet without randomization
- In vitro or animal model studies — always flagged as preliminary
When evidence is limited, we say so. When a study has limitations — small sample size, lack of comparison with the gold standard — we declare these limitations in the article itself. We prefer an honest and incomplete answer to a confident and wrong answer.
What We Don't Do
- We don't promise results that science doesn't support
- We don't hide the limitations of our own formulas — when one of our products is not suitable for a particular skin type, we say so
- We don't use terms like "miraculous," "instant," or "100% effective"
- We don't replace medical advice — we signal when a condition requires a dermatologist
When You Should Consult a Professional
Our content is educational, not diagnostic. Conditions such as persistent acne, rosacea, dermatitis, or any skin changes that appear suddenly or don't improve should be evaluated by a dermatologist. A well-written article helps you ask better questions — it does not replace a consultation.
Transparency as a Principle
Unnamed Cosmetics is a Portuguese dermocosmetic brand that is vegan and Ecocert COSMOS Natural certified. We publish the full INCI list for each product, the concentrations of the main active ingredients, and the situations where each formula is not the right choice. The same principle we apply to products, we apply to what we write.
