Why we hold the line on mineral

Chemical filters absorb radiation and convert it to heat — they work, but some of them (oxybenzone, octinoxate) have been linked to coral bleaching and raised endocrine-disruption concerns, and several destinations have banned them outright.

Mineral filters behave differently: they sit on the surface and reflect. The historic drawback was cosmetic — that white cast. We solved it with micronisation and tint, not with chemistry.
