How to use: Micellar Cleansing Water | 200 ml

Micellar Cleansing Water | 200 ml

Cleansing is the first step of any routine, and this micellar water does it gently: its micelles draw make-up, sebum and impurities away like a magnet, with no tightness and no rinsing. With organic aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, chamomile and linden, skin feels clean and comfortable.

Who it’s for

  • Sensitive or reactive skin that needs a cleanse without the sting
  • Combination, normal, oily or acne-prone skin (it is non-comedogenic)
  • Anyone who wears light make-up or sunscreen, or sweats during workouts
  • Anyone after a practical cleanse for everyday use and travel

When to use it

Use it every night to remove the pollution, sebum and make-up of the day. In the morning it's optional (for dry skin, rinsing with water is enough). It's the first step of your routine, before toner, serum and moisturiser.

How to apply it, step by step

  1. If you wear contact lenses, take them out before you start.
  2. Apply a generous amount of micellar water to a reusable cotton pad.
  3. Sweep the pad gently over your face, eyes and lips, without rubbing.
  4. Keep going with soft circular movements for a full 60 seconds. Time it!
  5. Repeat with a fresh pad until the pad comes away clean.
  6. Don't rinse: move straight on to your toner, serum and moisturiser.

Get the most out of it

  • Time the 60 seconds: that's how long the mild surfactants need to lift residual sebum, pollution and make-up. A 10-second cleanse only does half the job.
  • Use reusable cotton pads (washable bamboo ones exist): soft fabrics rub less than disposable cotton.
  • For waterproof make-up, start with the Bi-Phase Make-Up Remover and finish with the micellar water (double cleanse).

Avoid

  • Rushing the cleanse: 10 seconds isn't enough for a thorough clean.
  • Rubbing hard, especially around the eyes: the gesture should be gentle.
  • Relying on the micellar water alone for heavy waterproof make-up, without the Bi-Phase Make-Up Remover first.
