Description
The Lactic Acid Exfoliating Serum by Unnamed Cosmetics is the gentle entry point into chemical exfoliation. Combines 10% Lactic Acid (the gentlest AHA in the family) with multimolecular hyaluronic acid, panthenol and botanical antioxidants. The result: visibly renewed texture, even tone, smoother and more luminous skin — without the irritation typical of stronger acids.
Lactic acid has a larger molecule than glycolic acid (90 Daltons vs 76), which means slower, more controlled penetration. Less penetration depth, but greater tolerance — ideal for sensitive skin starting chemical exfoliation, mature skin or skin prone to redness. Naturally hydrating: stimulates the skin’s own NMF (Natural Moisturising Factor).
Suitable for: dull skin, uneven tone, rough texture, mature skin, sensitive skin starting AHAs, dehydrated skin, anti-ageing prevention.
No labels, no limits. Gentle exfoliation, real bioavailability.

Key Ingredients
Key Ingredients
- Lactic Acid 10% (AHA) — the gentlest of the alpha-hydroxy acids. Larger molecule (90 Daltons) means slower, more controlled penetration. Naturally hydrating, stimulates the skin’s NMF (Natural Moisturising Factor). Ideal for sensitive skin or skin starting chemical exfoliation.
- Multimolecular Hyaluronic Acid (Hydrolyzed + Sodium Hyaluronate) — multi-level hydration that compensates any moisture loss caused by exfoliation.
- Panthenol (Provitamin B5) — dermatology-grade repairer and soother. Calms the skin during exfoliation.
- Organic Sea Buckthorn Extract (Hippophae Rhamnoides) — omega-7, beta-carotene and natural vitamin C. Repairs and brightens.
- Organic Echinacea Extract — cutaneous immunomodulator, reinforces natural defences.
- Organic Black Currant Extract (Ribes Nigrum) — anthocyanins and natural vitamin C, antioxidant.
- Vitamin E + stable Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Palmitate) — protective antioxidants during exfoliation.
- Sodium PCA + Glycerine — essential humectants.

Expert Friend Tip
Expert Friend Tip
“Lactic acid is the perfect entry into chemical exfoliation. Larger molecule, slower penetration, less aggressive. The ideal first step for skin that’s never used acids — gives results without the chronic irritation that often comes with overusing glycolic.”
“And it’s one of the few exfoliating acids safe in pregnancy (in this concentration). For pregnant women who don’t want to give up texture renewal, this is the safest option. Always check with your healthcare professional.”
FAQ
FAQ
Lactic vs glycolic acid — which is better?
Glycolic has a smaller molecule and penetrates deeper — more potent, but more irritating. Lactic has a larger molecule — gentler, more hydrating, ideal for sensitive skin. For results in resistant skin, glycolic. For sensitive or beginner skin, lactic (this one).
Can I use it daily from the start?
No. Start with 2–3 nights per week for 4 weeks. The skin barrier needs time to adapt. Increase frequency gradually.
How quickly will I see results?
Visible luminosity in 2–3 applications. Even texture in 4–6 weeks. Softening of dark spots and fine lines: 8–12 weeks.
Can it be used during pregnancy?
Lactic acid in concentrations up to 10% is considered safe during pregnancy. Always consult your healthcare professional.
Can I combine with retinol?
Not in the same gesture (excessive irritation). Alternate on different nights or use lactic in the morning and retinol at night. Always with daily SPF.
Suitable for men?
Yes. Unnamed is genderless. Particularly effective for men with uneven texture or post-shave marks.
